Scope and Content

Houston, a resident of Scott County, Kentucky, left the half of his farm where he was then living to his wife, Mary, as well as all the "black people". He divided his other lands between three of his sons, William, Anthony, and John, referring to a previous gift of land to his other sons, Charles and Stephen. His other children or their heirs if the children were deceased received monetary bequests. The will was dated May 28, 1830.
