Biography/History

Governor Issac Shelby served a second term from 1812-1816 as a Jeffersonian Republican. Originally from Maryland, Shelby resided in Lincoln County, KY. His occupations were a Soldier and Farmer. Shelby's second term was devoted mainly to the War of 1812.
