Farming family. William J. D. Cahill, an 1898 graduate of the University of Kentucky in mechanical engineering, operated a dairy in Fayette County, Ky. and was active in racing meets for trotting horses.
The papers contain correspondence and business records relating to the Cahill family and more particularly to William James David Cahill. It contains bills, receipts, business letters and miscellaneous family items. A folder of general correspondence contains information on the 1914 election of alumni to the Board of Trustees of the University of Kentucky.
