Scope and Content

This volume contains poetry and essays, most of which were written to Ann M. Brooke by friends from 1830 to 1853.

Some sketches, whose artist(s) are unidentified, are also present. The location of the writers is given as Fredericksburg in some instances, which apparently now is the town of Warsaw, Kentucky.
