The Berea Branch was formed in 1960. Its first president was Eleanor Churchill. The main purpose of the Club was to further education through uniting college and university alumnae, thereby concentrating and increasing their influence in the community toward solving of social and civic problems. One of the Berea Branch founders, Minnie Maude Macauley, was elected president of the Kentucky Division in 1968 and served until 1970.
Materials consist of minutes, correspondence, and programs from the Berea Branch, and miscellaneous correspondence, minutes, reports, and publications from the Kentucky Division of AAUW.
Materials include organizational records of the Berea Branch, copies of by-laws, regular meeting minutes, and executive board minutes (6 l.f.; 1960 - 1968). The rest of the collection relates to the activities and administration of the Kentucky Division of AAUW. Present are copies of annual meeting minutes, board of directors minutes, correspondence of officers, officers' directories, divisional bulletins and newsletters, chapter presidents' reports, and newspaper clippings.
