Collection consists of four documents dating between May 1780, and 1815. The first doucment is a survey, with a map included, produced for William Fleming in Jefferson County, Kentucky. There are two 1783 surveys of land included on the the original survey. One survey was in Jefferson County, and the other in Ohio County, both in Kentucky. The surveys were done before Kentucky had received statehood. The second item is a February 20, 1781, court document adjusting the titles of unpatented land in Harrodsburg, Kentucky, to Fleming, Stephen Trigg, and Edmund Lyne. The third document patents the lnad on the surveys in the name of William Fleming on November 24, 1806. The last item, in this collection, certifies Thomas Flemings' death, his will, the approval of this by the Goochland County, Virginia magistrate, and the Court of Appeals finding, upholding this position. The document begins in 1801 and ends in 1815.
