Jesus said, “In my father’s house are many mansions. If it were not so, I would have told you. You are special, you are precious in Gods sight, so special that your name is written on the palm of His hand, not a hair can fall from your head but that He notices. We all have a purpose. Galatians 2:20a says “[Therefore, I do not treat God’s gracious gift as something of minor importance and defeat it’s very purpose] I do not set aside and invalidate and frustrate and nullify the grace (unmerited favor) of God. You and I were shaped for serving God. “God works through different people in different ways, but it is the same God who achieves his purpose through them all.” 1 Corinthians 12:6, The Message, “Gods various gifts are handed out everywhere; but they all originate in Gods Spirit…. Each person is given something to do that shows who God is: Everyone gets in on it, everyone benefits. All kinds of things are handed out by the Spirit, and to all kinds of people! The variety is wonderful:… Such humbling words! Obituaries Vickie Charlotta Childers, age 58, passed away Saturday, May 28, 2011 at her residence in Beattyville, Kentucky. She was born November 29, 1952, in Lee County, KY to the late Herbert Childers and Hazel Robert. A homemaker and attended the Beattyville Christian Church. She is survived by 3 sisters; Patty Heaton, Mary Spencer, both of Beattyville, KY, and Ruby Abner of Winchester, KY. 3 sons; Greg Wathen, Billy Humfleet, both of Beattyville, KY, Byron Wathen of Gray Hawk, KY, a granddaughter, Macy Wathen of Gray Hawk, KY. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three sisters; Judy Spicer, Beverly Cable, & Leona Brewer; and one niece, Michelle Moore. The Word By Gerline McIntosh Hello to everyone. It is time for our word once again. I want to writ this week about deceive. The Bible says, let no man deceive you. Matthew 24: 4 & 5 4. And Jesus answered and said unto them, take heed that no man deceive you. 5. For many shall come in my name, saying I am Christ, and shall deceive many. I Corinthians 6: 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 15 – 20 7. Now therefore there is utterly a fault among you, because ye go to law one with another, why do you not rather take wrong? Why do you not rather suffer yourselves to be defrauded? 8. Nay, ye do wrong, and defraud, and that your brethren. 9. Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the Kingdom of God? Be not deceived, neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, not effemine, nor abusers of themselves with mankind. 10. Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inerit the Kingdom of God. 11. A lot of people deceive their ownselves, they live together, and are not married which is called fornication, and they go to church and take part in church, and they think they’re living right and going to Heaven, but the word of the Lord says different, they are deceiving themselves. I Corinthians 10: 21. Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils, ye cannot be partakers of the Lord’s table, and of the table of devils. Matthew 6: 24. No man can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one, and love the other, or else he will hold to one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon (money). Galatians 6: 7 & 8 7. Be not deceived, God is not mocked, for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. 8. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption, but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap live everlasting. Don’t let anyone deceive you, that you can do things of this world of sin, and still make it into Heaven. The Bible says without spot or wrinkle on our garments. The Lord says strive to be perfect as I am perfect. We have to follow what the word says right down to the crossing of the (t) and the dotting of the (i). We have to separate ourselves from the worldly sin, if we make it to Heaven. Pick up the Cross and follow Jesus he is the way, and let no one deceive you.
