'Jiggs' Donohue, who was engaged in 1911, to manage the Galveston team of the Texas League, and has been working hard to improve their standing, was one of the best first basemen in the county when he played with the Chicago White Sox. He joined them in 1904, and in 1906, 1907 and 1908 led all American League first-sackers in fielding. Accepting difficult chances was his specialty.
