Scope and Content

The collection consistes of a certificate issed by John L. Helm, Governor of Kentucky, in 1852. The document is a military commission and certifies that Thomas Boyd was elected First Lieutenant of the 7th Regiment 13th Brigade of the Kentucky state militia.
