Scope and Content

This collection prodominately consists of land indentures, surveys, deeds, and mortgages. These transactions were conducted by Eli Cowan and his father, William. The counties involved in the transactions were: Union, Webster, and Henderson, all located in Kentucky. Also located in the collection, are several documents pretaining to the death of R.L. Moore, Eli Cowan's father-in-law.
