Confederate general. Pegram's partial report from Stigall's Ferry, Ky., to Captain J. G. Martin at Knoxville, Tenn., recounts an expedition into Ky. to obtain beef cattle for the Confederate Army. States details of a skirmish at Danville, Ky., activities while gradually retiring to the Cumberland River, an action near Somerset, Ky., and the units under his command
