Muhlenburg County, Kentucky coal company. Records include minutes of the board of directors and stockholder meetings, 1900 -1918, of the W.G. Duncan Coal Co.; articles of incorporation, 1900; payroll book; cash book; and general ledgers. Information includes management of the Luzerne and Graham-Skibo mines near Greenville, Kentucky; installation of electric power in the mine operations; building of two mine towns, including housing, schools, and company towns; issuance of bonds; building of a railroad spur to connect with the Illinois Central Railroad; purchase of new mineral lands; relocation of business offices from Luzerne to Greenville; coal tonnage produced; mining equipment ordered; and company store merchandise
