Biography/History

Josephine Rich is the author of the biographies Pioneer Surgeon, Jean Henri Dunant, and The Doctor Who Saved Babies.

Jean Henri Dunant was the founder of the American Red Cross and the first recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize.

Scope and Content

The Josephine Rich papers consist of proofs for the cover art of Pioneer Surgeon and Jean Henri Dunant. It includes the original art by Stephen J. Voorhies, an engraver's proof, a color separation overlay and the final cover art draft for Pioneer Surgeon, as well as a draft of the cover art for Jean Henri Dunant.
