Includes an 1829 agreement between Samuel Brents and Hughs Witt to settle in the Texas Province; and another agreement of the same in 1830 between James and John Brents. 11 Jan. 1830 letter tells of taking settlers to Texas for profit, favorably describes, Texas, adn notes the consequences for the business of settlement for profit if Texas is annexed by the United States.
