Scope and Content

Single item collection dated March 16, 1858. The letter was written to Orlando Brown by Thomas L. Crittenden. The letter discusses the condition of the receiver, who was suffering from "Incipient Consumption", overwise known as Tuberculosis. Crittenden expressed his regret over his friend's condition and advises him on his course of action. Apparently Brown's doctor had been unable to inform his patient of his condition and asked Crittenden to do so in his stead.

Arrangement: Correspondence is arranged chronologically.
