Collection includes military documents: order books, muster rolls, monthly reports, and ration accounts pertaining to Aaron Gregg's 16th Kentucky Militia Infantry Regiment stationed at Fort Malden, Ontario, during the War of 1812; Civil War material including correspondence describing conditions at Camp Dennison (Ohio) and God's hand in the conflict, a bwallpaper edition (facsimile?) of the2 July 1863 Vicksburg (Miss.) Daily Citizen, other newspaper clippings, and pro-Union letterhead; adn diaries and account books which depict farm life in Barcken County (Ky.). Miscellaneous items include newspaper clippings about John G. Fee; social reform tracts by Fee, Harriet Beecher Stowe, Elihu Burritt; John Gregg's poetry, campaign memorabilia, home remedies, Aaron Gregg's banking transactions, an 1863 letter about Oberlin College, and a 1943 letter signed by Eleanor Roosevelt about visiting farm wives in Nebraska. Oversize military documents are separate from the collection, but photocopies are in folder 5.
