Officer in the Indiana Infantry Regiment, 50th. Collection includes his diary, commission, discharge papers and Confederate money. Reprints of a history of th e50th and the Craig family are in the introductory folder. The diary intermittently covers events in 1863 and March and April 1864. The diary dates are: January 1-22, 1863, 1 May - 16 September 1863, 1 January ca. 1864, and 16 March - 30 April 1864. Craig writes about daily routines, skirmishes, picket duty, and marches and battles in Tennessee and Arkansas. In the back are accounts, receipts, and notes. Card file in repository
