Levi Hollingsworth, James Wilson, Dorsey Pentecost, Michael Gratz, Bernard Gratz, and Charles Willing apparently formed a land holding company which held thousands of acres of land in Fayette County, Kentucky, during the late 18th century.

Scope and Content

This one item collection consists of an indenture, dated June 1, 1785, between Levi Hollingsworth, James Wilson, Dorsey Pentecost, Bernard Gratz, and Michael Gratz of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Charles Willing, also of Philadelphia, for land in Virginia. Other names mentioned are John Young, Will Adcock, and Jonathan Bayard Smith.
