Scope and Content

S.B. Moxley married Sallie Offutt in the 1860s and the family lived on a farm in Shelby County, Kentucky. Collection includes the legal and land papers, correspondence, newspaper clippings and miscellaneous papers of the Moxley family. Letters from William White to Sallie Offutt tell of the attitudes in a border state during the Civil War. Letters of S. B. Moxley describe the daily and social life on a prosperous farm in Shelby County, Ky. Finding aids are available in repository
