OBITUARIES CHANDRA SCHMELZER ENNIS, 42 Chandra Loran chmelzer Ennis, 42, ied suddenly Wed., eb. 1, 2012 at Frankfort egional edical enter rom a ulmonary mbolism. She was orn April Ennis 5, 1969 n San Diego, Calif., a aughter of Walter and Jay Poteet Schmelzer of hawnee, Okla. She was the branch anager of Farmers Bank n Lawrenceburg. She erved in the U.S. Navy or six years and was a ember of the Overland hurch of Christ. Besides Chandra’s arents, she is survived y her husband of 18 years, Daniel C. Ennis; a brother, Matthew Schmelzer (Evette) of Nevada; her mother-inlaw, Shirley Ann Ennis of Lawrenceburg; brothers and sisters-in-law, Sherri Morgan (Chris), Joel Ennis (Michelle), and Jerry Ennis, all of Lawenceburg, Kathy Pardue Larry) of Scottsville, Ky. Toby Ennis (Susan) of Louisville, several nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services were Saturday at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Minister David Lanius officiating. Burial was in Mayfield Cemetery in Glasgow, Ky. Pallbearers were Logan Morgan, Marcus Lake, Bryan Spears, Tim Wells, Glenn Lake, Adam Willingham, Bill Spears, Bryan Edwards, and Rodney Barnes. ETHEL ALMA MILLER EVERSOLE, 77 Ethel Alma Miller Eversole, 77, of Lexington, died Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2012, at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington. She was a daughter of the late Campbell and Georgia Mae Brewington Miller. She is survived by a daughter, Amy C. Walker. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Feb. 18 at Alton Christian Church. Mrs. Eversole will be cremated. Gash Memorial Chapel in charge of arrangements. GEORGIA ELLEN HELLARD KINCANNON, 91 Georgia Ellen Hellard Kincannon, 91, of Lawrenceburg, died Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2012. She was the widow of R.S. “Cotton” Kincannon and daughter of the late George and Annie Pearl Aldridge Hellard. She was retired Kincannon from Fruit of the Loom in Frankfort; and was a member of First Baptist Church. She had a zest for life, loved the outdoors and flowers, loved to cook, and especially loved her cherished family. She is survived by two daughters, Bette K. ( Jim) McBrayer, Faye (Robert) Murphy, both of Law- renceburg; four grandchildren, Amy (Barry Ruble, Lucie (Dee) Estill, Dusty (Heather) Wainscott, Mark Murphy; five greatgrandchildren, Logan and Lincoln Wainscott, Barbara and Amanda McDonald, and Maddy Ruble, and she was joyfully awaiting the birth of her sixth great-grandchild, baby Estill, who is expected in July; a sister, Faye Curtsinger, Carlisle; a brother, Carl Hellard, Lawrenceburg; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by five sisters, Mary Aldridge, Sylvia Peach, Lorraine Hutton, Dot Hellard and Ruth Hellard; two brothers, John and Leslie Hellard. Funeral services were Thursday at Gash Memorial Chapel with Dr. Robert F. Ehr officiating. Burial was in Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Casketbearers were: Dusty Wainscott, Mark Murphy, Barry Ruble, Richard Spencer, Allen Hellard, Harold Wayne Cornish, Dee Estill, and Michael Hellard. Honorary bearers were: Georgeann Spencer, Hope Shadowen, and Rickie Hellard. WILLIAM ROBERT ‘BUDDY’ MURPHY, 67 William Robert “Buddy” Murphy, 67, of Lawrenceburg, died Feb. 3, 2012, at his home. He was born in Jefferson County to the late Robert and Lorene Catlett Murphy. He was the owner of Murphy Home Improvement as a home builder; a member of Fox Creek Christian Church; a 1963 graduate of Anderson County High School; attended the University of Kentucky and graduated from Fugazzi Business College. He served in the National Guard during the Vietnam War. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Faye Kincannon Murphy; a daughter, Amy (Barry) Ruble; a son, Mark Murphy; three granddaughters, Barbara and Amanda McDonald, and Maddy Ruble, all of Lawrenceburg; two sisters, Pat (Chuck) Panella and Suzanne (David) Duncan, both of Florida; five nieces and three nephews; and his dog, Pepe. Funeral services and visitation were held Sunday at Gash Memorial Chapel with Dr. Robert F. Ehr officiating. Burial will follow in Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to the First Baptist Church Children’s Ministry, 111 North Main Street in Lawrenceburg. Casketbearers were Kenneth Earl Catlett, Danny Catlett, Larry Catlett, Sidney Catlett, John Davis, Jim Murphy, Bryan Franklin and Steven Duncan. HAZEL ANN MILBURN SMITH, 78 Hazel Ann Milburn Smith, 78, of Lawrenceburg, formerly of Springfield, passed away at 1:20 p.m. on Feb. 1, 2012, at Lawrenceburg; two step grandchildren, Brittany Raisor and Brian Jump, both of Frankfort; a step great-grandchild, Bryce Jump of Frankfort; two sisters, Dorothy Lewis of Louisville and Lela Powell and her husband, Everett of Dayton, Ohio; and two brothers, J.S. Warner of Streator, Ill., and Roy Warner and his wife, Frances of Louisville. Funeral services were held Feb. 5 at Carey and Son Funeral Home with Dr. Mike Hamrick, pastor of the Sand Spring Baptist Church, officiating. Burial was in the Bethlehem Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Shawn McIlvoy, Ronnie Raisor, Charlie Warner, Billy Roy Warner, Marty Warner and Tim Powell. Carey and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. NELLIE MOREA VANMETER, 90 Nellie Morea VanMeter, 90, Versailles, formerly of Harrodsburg, died Feb. 4, 2012, at the Heritage Hall Care Center in Lawrenceburg. Survivors included two sons Ronald Bradford and James M. Bradford. Funeral services were held Feb. 7 at Ransdell Funeral Chapel with the burial following in the Spring Hill Cemetery in Harrodsburg. A native of Washington County, she was born on March Smith 15, 1933, to the late Roy and Elsie Cheatham Warner. She was a member of the Sand Spring Baptist Church in Lawrenceburg. She along with her first husband were owners and operators of Milburn’s Shoe Shop in Springfield for many years. Preceding her in death was her first husband, Billy K. Milburn, on Jan. 6,1983; two sisters, Joetta Wright on Oct. 30, 2009 and Arnetta Bunch on Feb. 10, 2001; and two brothers, Ellis Warner on Jan. 24, 2001 and Alton Warner on Feb. 11, 2004. Survivors include her husband, Reuben Smith; a daughter, Brenda McIlvoy and her husband Tommy of Springfield; a son, Ellery Milburn and his wife Julie of Lawrenceburg; two step-daughters, Karen Raisor and her husband Ronnie of Frankfort; and Eugenia Jump of Frankfort; two grandchildren, Shawn McIlvoy of Springfield and his fiancee, Hannah Shewmaker of Lebanon and Maribeth Milburn of 5610 US 127 South www.farmdalebaptist.com Serving the Frankfort area since 2002!
