Scope and Content

This one item collection is a letter book kept by Fayette Hewitt as Kentucky's Quartermaster General. The letters concern military matters such as supplies, armaments, and funding from the state legislature. The book includes an alphabetical index of addressees. The letters copies are on very thin paper and are difficult to read because of faded or smudged ink.
