Scope and Content

The Sidener family papers consist of correspondence, diaries, and a mimeographed history of the Sugar Ridge Presbyterian Church in Clark County, Kentucky. Most of the correspondence (1853-1858) is from Verlinda Risk Sidener and her husband Joseph Sidener, Jr. to her parents. They write of family and farm. The diary of Verlinda Sidener (1853-1855) records family events and her religious thoughts. A typescript of the will of William Risk and some genealogical materials are also included.
